In January of 2019, Sussek Machine Company (SMC) acquired Metalworking Solutions (MSO). Since 2009 MSO has offered extensive experience in the design and manufacturing of mechanical devices (Fixtures), CNC machining of complex parts, workstations, and prototypes. In addition, we are strengthening our capabilities for the repair and modification of molds, tooling and dies.
SLP acts as our Mexico headquarters with our management team sitting there. This location possesses 2 offerings with production machining (as you would find in any of our locations) and metalworking solutions, which is solely focused on delivering lower volume, highly complex solutions.
The facility has modern CNC machinery, lathes, and 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centers. Additionally, we feature conventional and specialized machining equipment for secondary and finishing operations, such as grinding machines for flat and cylindrical surfaces, lapping and broaching processes, as well as a reliable supplier base for heat treatments. We have in-house capabilities to weld, shot blast, plasma cut and sharpen.
We manufacture components and assemblies combining our internal manufacturing processes with foundries, stampings, forgings, and plastic parts, among others.
The facility and its employees are fully supported from our Waterloo, WI location. Design and manufacturing of fixtures (hydraulic, pneumatic, or manual), tooling and assembly machines designed using Pro-E and SolidWorks are provided to the facility as "turn-key" from Waterloo. Due diligence has been conducted in securing qualified suppliers in this region to support the supply chain and final delivered product. Foundries, painters, platers, forgers, polishers, extruders, and bar-stock suppliers have been qualified and in many cases are supporting our finished products today. The company possesses its IMMEX import/export license allowing ease of shipment across the border.
Our employees are operating VMC CNC machining centers, CNC turning, and inspections are done in our temperature controlled quality lab. SMC possesses a skill set within robotic work cells, gear hobbing, spline cutting, induction heat treat, CNC grinding, balancing, and broaching. Therefore, we can dispatch employees quickly to provide similar, in house capabilities from this region as we do in others. SMC is excited to have existence and offerings in this region while offering complete solutions to its expanding customer base.
Our engineering department has experience in product design using 3D software which allows us to suggest proposals according to customer needs or manufacture pieces based on original designs. We can design and develop prototypes with almost any metal with our CAD/CAM systems.
Our company is ISO 9001:2015 certified and able to develop APQP and processes under the automotive industry guidelines (PPAP).
Our customers receive the highest quality in our products, quick response to your needs along with exceptional service. We strive to develop long-term relationships with our customers with hard work and honesty being underlying drivers.
